NearBeam
About
NearBeam is the fastest way to move photos and files between two devices that are right next to each other. Pick what you want to send, tap a nearby device, and beam it over — directly, privately, with nothing in between.
No internet. No account. No QR codes. No web page to open on the other device. NearBeam connects your devices directly over Wi-Fi Aware, so your files travel on the local radio between the two devices and never touch a server.
WHY NEARBEAM
- TRUE PEER-TO-PEER
NearBeam talks device-to-device over Wi-Fi Aware. There's no handshake page, no scanning a QR code, no typing an IP address. Pick the nearby device and send.
- WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE
On a plane, in the mountains, on a train through a tunnel — if both devices are nearby, NearBeam works. No Wi-Fi network and no cellular needed.
- YOUR FILES STAY YOURS
Files go straight from one device to the other. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or copied to any server. No account, no tracking, no telemetry.
- PHOTOS, FILES, AND FOLDERS
Send single photos, big batches, documents, or whole folders (Pro). Received photos save to your library; files save to Files.
- FAST, BECAUSE IT'S DIRECT
There's no round-trip through the cloud. The bytes go from one device to the next over the local radio — the shortest possible path.
WHO IS NEARBEAM FOR
- Anyone who needs to move photos between two phones without a network
- People who travel and can't rely on Wi-Fi or signal
- Folks who don't want their files passing through a cloud drive
- Anyone tired of opening a web page and scanning a QR code just to send a file
