ITMS error code lookup

Paste the email App Store Connect sent after a failed upload, or the output from Xcode or Transporter. Every ITMS code in it is found and explained: Apple's message, what it means, what to change, and the Apple page we read it on. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Each entry was read on the Apple page it links to, on 2026-10-31. Apple publishes no full list of these codes, so this one is short on purpose: it lists only codes whose text we could check.

Search the list

All codes in the list

Apple's messages are in English, as in your email.

How it works

  • •The page looks for codes such as ITMS-90870 in whatever you paste, and shows the entry for each one. Typing a bare number like 90870 works too, and you can search the list by words.
  • •Apple does not publish a list of these codes, so each entry was read on a page: a technote or documentation page, an Apple engineer's reply in the Developer Forums, or a Developer Forums post where a developer pasted Apple's message. Each entry says which of the three it is.
  • •The meaning and the fix use only what that page says. When the page gives no fix, the entry says so instead of guessing.

What it does not do

  • •It is not a full list. A code that is missing is one we could not check, not one that is harmless. Your email's own text is the best guide to the file and key.
  • •Apple rewords messages when its rules change, and new codes appear with each SDK. An entry shows the message as we read it.
  • •It cannot read your build. To check the file most upload errors point to, use the Info.plist checker or the privacy manifest generator.

Questions

Where do I see the ITMS code for a failed upload?
App Store Connect sends an email titled something like “Issues with your app” or “Invalid Binary”, and Xcode's Organizer and Transporter show the same text. The code is the ITMS-and-five-digits at the start of each problem.
Is a code that begins ITMS-9105x an error?
Not always. Several privacy manifest messages began as warnings that said no action was needed yet, and later became requirements. Read the sentence that says whether the upload is rejected.
Why is the code I got not in the list?
Apple has no public list, and we only include a code when we could read it on an Apple page. If yours is missing, search the Developer Forums for the exact code and compare with the file named in your email.
