Pgvista

Native Postgres client for Mac

About

Pgvista is a fast, native macOS client for PostgreSQL — built for developers who want a real Mac app, not a subscription or a cross-platform window.

Connect to your Postgres databases on Supabase, Railway, Neon, RDS, or your own server, browse your schema, run queries, and read results in a clean, keyboard-friendly interface that feels at home on the Mac. Connection passwords are stored securely in the macOS Keychain, and you can reach databases behind a bastion host over an SSH tunnel.

HOW IT WORKS Add a connection and Pgvista opens a workspace with your tables and schema in the sidebar. Browse any table with paged results, write SQL in the query editor and run it in place, and expand JSON and JSONB values in a readable tree. Everything is native SwiftUI, so it launches instantly and behaves the way Mac apps should.

FEATURES

  • Native macOS PostgreSQL client, focused and clutter-free
  • Table browser with paged results and quick schema navigation
  • SQL query editor with results and a JSON/JSONB tree view
  • SSH tunnel support for databases behind a bastion host
  • Connection passwords stored in the macOS Keychain

PRO A single one-time purchase — no subscription — unlocks the power tools, forever:

  • Save unlimited database connections
  • Persistent query history, saved and searchable across sessions
  • EXPLAIN plan visualizer with a per-node cost heatmap

PRIVACY Pgvista talks only to the databases you connect it to. Your credentials live in the macOS Keychain, your queries stay on your Mac, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind.
