Live NASA close-approach data

About

Perigee is a fast, fully local lookup for near-Earth asteroids, built directly on NASA's own Near Earth Object Web Service — no ads, no account, and no data collection.

Open Close Approaches to see which asteroids are passing nearest to Earth today, in the next 3 days, or the next 7 days, sorted by distance with potentially hazardous asteroids flagged clearly. Switch to Browse to page and search NASA's entire near-Earth object catalog by name or designation, with results cached on your device so recent lookups stay instant even with a flaky connection.

Tap any asteroid for the full picture: estimated diameter, absolute magnitude, every recorded close-approach date with distance and velocity, and orbital elements including eccentricity, inclination, and orbit class straight from JPL's Small-Body Database. Save the ones you care about to a fully offline favorites list, or share a quick summary with one tap.

Power users can drop in their own NASA API key in Settings to clear the shared demo rate limit — still no account, ever, just a faster connection to the same public data.

Every request is live and user-initiated: nothing runs in the background, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is tracked. Perigee is a tool, not a feed.
