Learn to recognize Japanese kana in a small illustrated town. YomuMachi connects hiragana and katakana with signs, products and menus. READ YOUR WAY THROUGH TOWN Practice with station signs, convenience-store shelves and a ramen ticket machine. Each scene has three short, repeatable tasks. EXPLORE KANA Browse hiragana, katakana, voiced sounds and combined sounds. Hear bundled audio at normal speed or 0.75x. Narration uses VOICEVOX Nemo synthetic speech, not human recordings. LEARN AT YOUR PACE No account is required. Learning progress is stored on your device. Optional daily reminders help you return to practice. TRY FREE, UNLOCK ONCE The 92 basic hiragana and katakana characters and all three station tasks are free. Try the first task at the convenience store and ramen shop. A one-time in-app purchase of the Kana Scene Pack unlocks reference and audio for 116 voiced and combined kana, plus all three tasks in each of those two scenes. No subscription. Separate future packs are not included. Interface guidance is available in English and Japanese. Kana, signs and product names remain in Japanese as learning material.
