Nine dice, each with nine pictures. Roll them, put them in the order the story should go, and ask. A story that uses every picture arrives a line at a time, and each die lights up as its picture enters the tale. THE TABLE Nine dice, eighty-one pictures: who, creatures, places, sky, journey, things, feelings, home, play. Roll them all, or just one. Lock the ones you like and roll the rest. Put them in the order you want the story to take. Three dice for a quick tale, five for a bedtime one, nine for the full table. THE STORY Say how it should go: the tone, who it is for, how long, and which language. Write the first line yourself, if you like, and the story begins with your words. Every story ends with a question to talk about together. AFTERWARDS Listen to it read aloud. Have a picture painted for it. Add a twist, and the ending changes. Share it as a card, or print it. Every story is kept, with its dice and its picture. STORY CODES A code travels with every story. Send it to a friend and their dice show the same pictures. Two people, one table, two stories.
