Everything happens on your Mac. The speech model runs on the Apple Neural Engine, so your voice never leaves your machine. There is no server to trust, because there isn't one. WORKS IN EVERY APP Put your cursor where you want the words, hold the shortcut, and speak. In apps that accept dictation this way — Mail, Notes, Messages, Safari, Chrome and many more — the words go straight in. In the few that don't, nothing is lost: hold Option-Z instead, and your words are transcribed and copied, ready to paste. YOUR VOICE STAYS ON YOUR MAC No audio is uploaded. No transcripts are stored. No analytics, no telemetry, no ambient listening. After the initial setup, it works with no internet connection at all — on a plane, on a train, anywhere. The only thing that needs the network is downloading the speech model the first time you launch. TEXT CLEANUP, BUILT IN Three quiet passes run before the text reaches your cursor: • Spoken punctuation — say "comma," "question mark," or "new paragraph" and get the real thing • Filler removal — trims "um," "uh," and "you know" while leaving your actual words alone • Spacing cleanup — collapses double spaces, fixes punctuation spacing, capitalizes the first word On by default. Turn it off from the menu bar whenever you want raw output. AI REFINE Said something tangled? Select it and choose Refine with Humble Voice, and the cleaned-up version takes its place — fillers gone, punctuation tidied, sentences smoothed. On Macs with Apple Intelligence, this runs on Apple's on-device model. Your text never leaves the machine there either. It cleans up how you said it. It won't rewrite what you meant.
