应用简介

开发者在美国 App Store 的完整简介（英文原文）。

Backgrounds are generated, not downloaded. Every one is computed on your device from a small recipe you can re-run, recolour, and export at any size, as SVG, PNG, CSS, or a data URI. The app opens on a wall of hand-graded picks, already cut to your own screen's shape. Swipe the colour rail until one of them is yours. PICK BY EYE, NOT BY SETTINGS Picks open as full-bleed posters at your screen's own aspect ratio, and the rest of the catalogue follows as one pile per family. Tap a pile to scan that family. Jump To is the table of contents: Picks, your saved backgrounds, and every family in the catalogue. Or search the whole catalogue by name. Browse by what you can see: Gradients and Blends, Rays and Radials, Repeating Patterns, Depth and 3-D, Lines, Waves and Doodles, Blobs and Daubs, Scattered Shapes, Fields and Flow, Tilings and Tessellations, Mazes and Automata, Fractals, Art, Growth and Nature, Symmetry and Ornament, and Light and Material. The mathematical tilings are the real ones: Penrose, girih, Ammann-Beenker, Escher edge morphs, hyperbolic disks, and the spectre monotile, alongside Voronoi cells, Delaunay shards, maze algorithms, escape-time fractals, strange attractors, L-system curves, and reaction-diffusion. Drop tile ornaments inside any tiling's tiles: girih strapwork, rosettes, stars, hatching, and Truchet arcs. COLOUR IS A RAIL, AND YOU CAN PIN IT Every curated palette sits in a rail under the artwork and recolours it live as you move along it, with a Light and Dark switch beside it. Axis chips under the art say where you are. Tap one and that axis's siblings slide up, drawn in the palette you are already wearing, so you compare geometry against geometry instead of against a colour change. Hold a chip to lock that axis. That is what turns Surprise Me from a slot machine into an instrument: pin the colour, and every roll is another picture in it. Random works at the level you are on, Variation rerolls the current design, and Surprise Me chooses everything that is not locked. EVERY BACKGROUND IS A RECIPE Adjust each design's own parameters alongside the shared dials: colour, harmony, tone, saturation, contrast, hand-drawn wobble, grain, vignette, edge fade, and framing. The preview responds while you drag, stays sharp as the window changes, and supports Fit, precise 1:1 inspection, and pinch zoom. Compare four complete variations side by side, choose one, and return to the full canvas without losing the recipe that produced it. Choose a canvas for the real destination: landscape, portrait, square, story, photo and banner ratios, or a custom size. New canvases start at your display's native pixel size, and Device Display returns to it at any time. The recipe reflows rather than being cropped. Every step is undoable, and the app reopens on the artwork you left. TAKE IT WITH YOU AT ANY SIZE Export compact SVG, expanded SVG for editors without pattern support, or PNG at standard and high resolution. Copy web-ready CSS or an SVG data URI straight into a project. On Mac, set the result as the desktop background on one display or all of them, each rendered at its native resolution. On iPhone and iPad, save to Photos or share it anywhere. Automate it with Shortcuts: the Get Background Image action pairs with Apple's Set Wallpaper Photo to give your phone a fresh background every morning. Recents keeps the last backgrounds you actually set, so going back to yesterday's is one tap. REPRODUCIBLE AND PRIVATE Favourites store the recipe rather than a rendered picture, so the same parameters and seed recreate the same artwork whenever you need it. Generation happens on your device. Favourites stay local as small, portable JSON files, and nothing leaves your device. ONE PURCHASE, EVERY DEVICE One purchase covers Mac, iPhone, and iPad. No account, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
