About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Big ideas. Small steps. A friendly paw along the way. MathsPaw helps children and teens explore maths through clear worked examples, guided practice and hands-on investigations. Start with your learner’s age and interests, then discover a route from everyday number skills to algebra, trigonometry and calculus. LEARN, PRACTISE, TRY IT YOURSELF See how an idea works, practise with helpful feedback, then try an independent check. Hints and read-aloud support are there when needed. Return to earlier lessons and refresh skills as you go. MAKE MATHS SOMETHING TO EXPLORE Move sliders, make predictions and investigate what changes. Explore fractions, shapes, graphs and more through interactive maths labs, with practice activities alongside them. A ROUTE THAT GROWS WITH YOUR LEARNER Choose from learning routes for ages 7–10, 11–13 and 14+. Explore number and arithmetic; fractions, decimals and percentages; ratio; algebra; geometry and measurement; functions and graphs; trigonometry; probability and statistics; calculus; reasoning and proof; modelling; and further maths enrichment. Advanced topics build on earlier skills. SEE THE SMALL STEPS ADD UP Learning stars and progress views help learners see what they have completed and which skills to revisit. Guided practice and independent checks are recorded separately. COMPLETELY FREE. READY OFFLINE. Every course, lesson, lab and practice activity is free. No subscriptions, in-app purchases or adverts. No online account is needed, and learning content works offline from the start. MADE FOR THEIR OWN DEVICE An optional nickname, age, interests and learning progress stay on the device. There is no tracking or automatic cross-device sync. You can change learning preferences or delete progress in Settings. MathsPaw is part of the CodePaw family, made to help more young people enjoy learning. Available for iPhone and iPad.
