About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Antenna is a player for your own M3U playlists and XMLTV guides. You bring the content; Antenna plays it with a clean, fast interface designed for iPhone, iPad and Mac. IMPORTANT: Antenna ships with no channels, playlists or guides, and never suggests any. Only load content you are entitled to watch: free-to-air broadcasters, services you subscribe to, or your own server. PLAYBACK • Two engines: AVPlayer (HLS, Picture in Picture and AirPlay) and VLC (MPEG-TS, RTSP, UDP, DASH and more). • Pick the engine automatically or switch by hand; if one fails, Antenna tries the other. • Zap with a swipe, by number or with the keyboard; jump back to the last channel instantly. • Choose audio tracks and subtitles. GUIDE • XMLTV guide (.xml and .xml.gz) as an hourly grid with a live “now” line and programme details. • Now and next in the channel list, with a progress bar. • Time shift in case your provider’s guide is off. YOUR PLAYLISTS • Add M3U/M3U8 playlists by link or by importing a file. • Groups, favorites, recents and search. • Automatic refresh by age. • Supports tvg-id, tvg-logo, group-title, tvg-chno and a per-playlist User-Agent. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. • Your playlists, favorites and recents stay on your device. • Antenna only connects to the addresses you add. DESIGN • Liquid Glass on the latest iOS and macOS. • Keyboard shortcuts on Mac and iPad. Antenna is free with no limits. If you like it, you can leave an optional tip from Settings; it unlocks nothing.
