Sound Widget Pro — App Store rankings

About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Your Mac's audio devices, right on your desktop. Sound Widget Pro makes it easy to choose where your Mac plays and receives sound. Switch between speakers, headphones and microphones with interactive desktop widgets, then get back to what you were doing. FOUR WAYS TO KEEP AUDIO CLOSE Choose Output, Input, Output + Input or Favorites. Each mode comes in small, medium and large sizes, so you can build a setup that fits your desktop. YOUR DEVICES, YOUR ORDER Give devices familiar names, drag them into your preferred order, hide shortcuts you don't need and star the ones you use most. Choose an optional device subset for each widget. Page through longer lists without opening settings. LIGHT, DARK OR SYSTEM Match your desktop with a shared appearance setting, or choose a different appearance for an individual widget. READY AFTER SETUP An illustrated guide helps you add your first widget. Once configured, you can quit the app and keep switching from your desktop. Background audio observation requests widget updates when devices or default routes change; macOS controls when widgets redraw. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sound Widget Pro reads audio device information without recording audio. Your device names and preferences stay on your Mac. No account, ads, tracking or third-party analytics. ONE PURCHASE An upfront paid download with every feature included. No subscriptions or in-app purchases. Requires macOS 14 or later. Devices must be connected and available to macOS. This app changes the Mac's default input and output; apps with their own audio routing may need a separate adjustment. The system-sounds output is unchanged. Background updates may require approval in macOS Login Items.
