Spearfishing in the Adriatic starts with one question: will you see anything? This app answers it with a range in metres and the reasoning behind it — not a star rating. VISIBILITY, WITH THE REASONING SHOWN An estimate for your position, as a range and with a confidence level. The reasons sit next to it: how many hours it has been without waves, whether it rained, whether waves reach your working depth. You see what went into the estimate and can judge it yourself. NUMBERS, NOT IMPRESSIONS Wave, period, wind, current and sea temperature on one grid. The source and the model run are named. SHELTER, PER DIRECTION Open water measured from the coastline in 24 directions, up to 60 km. You see which winds the spot is open to and where it is sheltered. EVERY ADRIATIC CONTOUR, WITH NO SIGNAL Depth contours are built into the app. They work with no signal — and at sea there usually is none. 47 ADRIATIC SPECIES For each one: minimum legal size, closed season, habitat, behaviour, spawning and how to approach it — technique, depth band and how skittish the fish is. THE LAW, WITH THE ARTICLE Croatian spearfishing regulations in plain sentences, each citing its source and article number. This is a convenience copy, not the regulations — the official text in Narodne novine governs. A LOG THAT CHECKS ITSELF Record what you actually saw.
