We analyzed real 2000s digicam photos and matched color, noise, sharpening and JPEG compression. ■ Only what a digicam had - Two cameras: W 2007 · IX 2006 (more arrive as free updates) - Orange date stamp — on by default, off in Settings - Scene modes Auto · Indoor · Night flash, plus flash, exposure compensation (EV ±2) and zoom - The digicam's own field of view — 35 mm or 38 mm depending on the camera, framed in the digicam window - A short "RECORDING" pause after the shutter, then the result ■ Photos - Silent capture — the shutter sound is on by default; turn it off in Settings and shots are silent - Save at digicam resolution, or restore the original size - Apply the same look to a photo from your library - Make a contact sheet from recent shots - Settings > "Compare with real digicam photos" puts a real digicam photo and this app's photo side by side ■ Not here Filter sliders, editors, stickers, accounts, ads, subscriptions. Photos stay on your device and are never uploaded. Only anonymous usage statistics are sent to improve the app (no photos, no location, no personal data). ■ Where it differs from the real thing An iPhone lens blurs backgrounds more than a digicam, and an LED flash can't stand in for a xenon burst.
