About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Make room for long AI chats ThreadLite for Safari is a macOS Safari web extension that can help long chats stay responsive without hiding or deleting messages. How it works ThreadLite uses CSS content-visibility:auto with contain-intrinsic-size on eligible off-screen conversation turns. This can help Safari defer work for content outside the viewport. The change is reversible and fail-open. What it does not do ThreadLite never hides or deletes messages. It never touches active, focused, selected, or streaming turns. Cmd+F, copy, and VoiceOver are designed to be preserved; these behaviors are not presented as independently verified guarantees. Simple setup Enable ThreadLite in Safari, then allow site access for chatgpt.com and gemini.google.com. The macOS app shows extension status, site-access setup, a behavior playground, and preferences. The Safari popup lets you wake resting messages and choose how many recent messages stay awake: Auto, 20, 40, or 80. Private by default No network requests. No analytics. No conversation content stored. Supported sites chatgpt.com and gemini.google.com only. ThreadLite is not affiliated with OpenAI or Google.
