About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

■ Write a different history Rome in 117. The Three Kingdoms in 209. Genghis Khan in 1206. Constantinople in 1453. The French Revolution in 1789. And 1914, 1936, 1962 and 1989. Choose from 9 turning points and take charge of a nation. From there, nothing is scripted. ■ The map puts you in command Take control of a world map divided into 1,973 provinces. Tap a province to recruit troops, build or raise forts. Drag armies to move them, or tap another country to open diplomacy. Select a distant province and your army finds a route, marching over several turns. Before you move into enemy-held territory, see the predicted battle outcome. ■ Give orders in your own words Switch to chat mode in Settings and a sentence like "Gather the troops and end the turn" becomes an order. AI turns your words into commands and shows a preview of the results. Orders run only after you tap Confirm. The rules always decide the outcome. ■ 1 turn = 30 days Orders are queued during the turn. Tap "End Turn" and movement, battles, occupation, the economy, recruitment, unrest, research, treaties and events all resolve at once. Dispatches then tell you what happened. The rules decide who wins and loses, and you can find them all in one place. ■ Cross the seas The sea has map tiles too. Ships sail only from provinces with ports, cross real waters such as the Mediterranean, Caribbean and North Sea, and land on enemy shores. Troops are at a disadvantage against forts on the turn they land, and lose strength the longer they stay at sea. ■ Diplomacy comes down to terms Talk to another country's foreign ministry about alliances, non-aggression pacts and peace. AI writes their dialogue in the official voice of the era, but relations, national strength and the terms you offer decide whether a treaty is signed. You can't talk your way around those conditions. ■ Three ways to win, room to negotiate Win through conquest, the economy or diplomacy by holding the required share of the world for 12 consecutive turns. Each game spans 20 years. Lose your capital and tax revenue drops while recruitment stops. The losing side can request surrender; the winning side can accept it or set terms at the negotiating table. Choose Normal or Hard difficulty at the start. ■ The world moves on its own In modern-era scenarios, 193 nations pursue their own goals. While you watch, a neighbor starts a war, a colony breaks away or a bankrupt country disbands its army. You can recruit in occupied territory too, but it takes more resources and 1 extra turn. ■ Saved on your device Your progress and settings stay on your device. No account is needed. Progress is saved safely each turn across 2 save slots. Available in 14 languages: 한국어, English, 日本語, 简体中文, Español, Français, Русский, Tiếng Việt, Deutsch, Português, Italiano, Türkçe, Polski and Bahasa Indonesia.
