About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

AirGuard turns air-quality data, wildfire information and smoke analysis into answers: what's happening, how serious it is, what it means for you, and what to watch next. - Air quality, explained. A large AQI reading with a plain-language summary, the primary pollutant, and general guidance for outdoor activity — never a medical diagnosis. - Wildfire & smoke nearby. Confirmed wildfire incidents and perimeters, plus mapped smoke plumes. Satellite fire detections are clearly labelled as informational. - Forecast & alerts. A 24-hour air-quality forecast and optional local alerts for AQI thresholds, a new nearby fire, smoke onset, or a daily summary. - A clean, fast map. Air-quality stations, fire layers and smoke layers you can toggle, with clustering so it stays readable. - Works offline. The last readings are cached and clearly marked "Offline data" — nothing stale is ever shown as live. - Private by design. No account. No third-party analytics or tracking SDK. Location is optional and used only while the app is open. Free to use, supported by clearly labelled Google AdMob ads. - EN / FR / AR / ES, with full right-to-left layout for Arabic. AirGuard is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. EPA, AirNow, the U.S. Forest Service, NOAA, or any other government agency. Environmental data may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable and does not replace official emergency alerts or instructions from local authorities.
