Convert video, photos and audio by the folder — without opening a single file. Mediasmith is a native Mac app for people who have a folder of photos and one thing they need done to all of them. Drop the folder in, build a pipeline, watch the preview, press Process. Converts video (H.264, HEVC, ProRes, animated GIF) and audio (AAC, Apple Lossless, FLAC, Opus, WAV, AIFF, iPhone ringtones) as well as images — each media type gets its own queue and its own output format. WHAT IT DOES • Convert between JPG, PNG, HEIC and TIFF. Reads WebP, BMP and GIF too. • Resize by percentage, max width or height, longest side, fit inside a box, or exact dimensions. • Crop to any aspect ratio with a nine-point anchor, or trim a fixed amount from each edge. • Rotate, flip, and adjust brightness, contrast and saturation. • Add a text or image watermark — any position, rotation, opacity, or tiled across the picture. • Add a border or padding in points or as a percentage. • Strip metadata entirely, remove only GPS location, or keep everything. • Rename with patterns: original name, sequence number, date, or dimensions. SEE IT BEFORE YOU RUN IT The preview shows the selected image with the entire pipeline applied — the crop, the watermark, the compression quality. Hold the eye button to compare against the original. Steps apply top to bottom and can be dragged to reorder. BUILT PROPERLY • Display P3 and 16-bit images keep their colour profile and bit depth. • Sideways phone photos come out upright — the pixels are rotated before the orientation tag is removed. • Transparent PNGs converted to JPG get a background colour you choose, not black. • Two files with the same name both survive. Your originals are never overwritten. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Mediasmith has no network access at all — not restricted, absent. It cannot upload your photos, contact a server or collect analytics, because the capability was never built in. No account, no sign-in. ONE-TIME PURCHASE Buy it once and it is yours.
