About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

ISOBAR turns your iPhone into a precision altimeter and barometer. Every altitude it reports arrives with the one thing most apps leave out, an honest margin of error, so you always know how far to trust the number. WHAT YOU GET - One button, fifteen seconds, and an altitude you can defend - Every reading carries its own uncertainty, shown in metres or feet - Readings combine the barometric sensor, GPS and a terrain model - Calibration against the nearest aviation weather station - A pressure chart that shows weather turning before you feel it - Storm alerts driven by real pressure change, not a forecast feed - Works without a signal once terrain data is stored on the device BUILT FOR THE OUTDOORS - Track elevation gain across a hike, a climb or a ride - Save waypoints for home, trailheads and camps - Set a target height and watch the remaining climb count down - Correct weather drift out of your elevation gain FOR AVIATION AND WORK - QNH, QFE and density altitude on one panel - Cold temperature correction table - Multi floor building survey with a floor by floor schedule - Flight profile logging for a complete climb and descent record UNDERSTAND THE AIR - Ninety days of pressure history in one chart - Nearest reporting station with the raw observation text - Altitude physiology reference for high ground - A personal sensitivity journal, which is not medical advice CLEAR ANSWERS - An AI assistant explains what your numbers mean in plain language - It reads only the figures already on your screen PRIVACY AND QUALITY - No ads anywhere in the app and no advertising identifier - No account, no sign in and no cloud sync - Your measurements stay on your device - No analytics SDK is bundled - Only rounded coordinates leave the device, to fetch weather and terrain - Deleting the app deletes your record with it ISOBAR is built for hikers, climbers, cyclists, pilots, drone operators, surveyors, trades and anyone who wants a figure they can stand behind. It is made for recreational and professional situational use and is not a survey grade instrument. A device with a barometric pressure sensor gives the most precise results. On devices without one, ISOBAR measures using GPS and the terrain model, and tells you exactly what is missing. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
