About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Buying new is easy. Bought Nothing New helps you pause, consider what you already have and choose another route when it makes sense. Start a 7, 30, 90 or 365-day challenge. Whenever you need something, record it before purchasing and decide how you will resolve it: • Use something you already own • Buy second-hand • Borrow • Repair • Rent • Swap • Mark it as an essential exception • Honestly record that you bought new See your current and longest streaks, discover which alternatives work best and track the amount of new-product spending you avoided. BUILT FOR HONEST PROGRESS Bought Nothing New is not about being perfect. Define your own essential exceptions, record setbacks without erasing earlier progress and continue your challenge the following day. FEATURES • 7, 30, 90 and 365-day challenges • Personal motivation and essential exceptions • Daily no-new check-ins • Current and longest streak tracking • Record items before buying them new • Eight honest resolution options • Multi-currency avoided-spending totals • Alternative-method insights • Purchase-trigger insights • Progress milestones • Privacy-safe share cards • Local reminders • Data export and complete deletion PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account required • No advertising • No tracking • No analytics SDK • No backend • Data stored locally on your device • Export or delete your information at any time Make buying new the last option—not the automatic first one.
