About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Build a private, timestamped record that shows you wrote it, over time. PROOF keeps a defensible history of your real writing process, then scans text for AI signals when you need evidence to stand behind. WRITING RECEIPTS (free, unlimited, offline) - Save a checkpoint of your draft any time. PROOF records the timestamp, word count, a diff against your last checkpoint, and a SHA-256 content fingerprint. - A clear timeline of how your draft grew, kept entirely on your device. - Protect yourself from false accusations by showing your work as it happened. AI ANALYSIS (on demand) - Authorship scan: per-sentence signals of AI-leaning or human-leaning writing, reported as a band with a confidence level. No fake percentage, no verdict. - Citation check: reviews your citations against APA, MLA, Chicago, or Harvard. - Source trace: searches the open web for close matches to your phrasing (a general web search, not an academic database). - Full report: authorship and source trace combined. VOICE PROFILE - Calibrate a baseline from your own past writing. Later scans flag voice drift, a passage that reads unlike your usual style. Drift is a prompt to look closer, not proof of anything. PROJECTS AND INSIGHTS (free, on device) - Organize work into projects with deadlines and local reminders, plus a Quick Scans bucket. - See words written this week, rolling 30 and 90 day windows, an activity heatmap with your streak and busiest day, and readability metrics. SHARE FROM ANY APP - Send text from another app into PROOF to checkpoint or scan it. PRIVACY BY DESIGN - No account, no sign in, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. - Everything stays on your device. The only data that ever leaves is the specific text you choose to submit for a scan, sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a third-party AI provider for analysis. - Erase everything at any time. AN HONEST TOOL No tool can prove how a text was written. PROOF reports evidence and its strength, so treat it as one signal, never a verdict. Detection is weaker on short, heavily edited, translated, or non-native English text. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
