About this app
The developer's US App Store description, in full.
ClearSpeed GPS is a clean, paid-once GPS speedometer for iPhone and iPad with private trip history. No subscriptions, ads, in-app purchases, account, or tracking. Open the app and see a large, readable GPS speed display in MPH, KM/H, or knots. Start a trip when you want to record it, pause and resume without stopped time skewing the average, then end it to save a private on-device summary with its date and time, duration, distance, average speed, and max speed. Review or clear saved summaries in History. ClearSpeed stores summaries locally, not route maps or raw location samples. ClearSpeed also includes GPS signal and accuracy status, day and night modes, HUD mirror mode, Battery Saver mode, and a keep-screen-awake option. ClearSpeed is intentionally simple. Use it as a digital speedometer, HUD speedometer, or boat speedometer reference when you need a clear speed display. It is not a navigation app, does not show posted road speed limits, and does not upload your location. GPS accuracy depends on your device, sky visibility, signal conditions, and movement. Use ClearSpeed as an informational speed display, not as a certified instrument. Buy it once. Use it whenever you need a clear speedometer.
