About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Latchio turns your screen time into speaking time. Every time you reach for a distracting app, Latchio asks you to say one English line out loud first. Finish a quick speaking drill, bank the time you earn, and your apps unlock. The habit that used to waste your day starts making you fluent. WHY LATCHIO IS DIFFERENT Most English apps quietly lose to the apps already on your phone. Latchio doesn't compete with them. It stands in front of them. You can still open Instagram, YouTube, or your favorite game, but only after you've spoken some English. Your screen time finally pays you back. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick the apps that steal your focus. 2. When you open one, Latchio shows a short speaking practice instead. 3. Say the line out loud and get instant pronunciation feedback. 4. Earn unlock minutes, then spend them to open the app, or keep practicing to bank more. WHAT YOU GET - Speak to unlock: an app blocker built on Apple Screen Time that asks for English, not willpower. - Structured courses: spoken-English lessons that grow with you, from your first sentence to confident conversation. - Shadowing practice: repeat after a natural voice and get scored on your pronunciation, all on device. - AI conversation partner: free talk by voice or text whenever you want real practice, not just drills. - Screen Time Bank: every lesson banks minutes you can spend to unlock your apps. - Streaks and rewards that make showing up every day feel good. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your speaking is scored on your iPhone. Your voice stays with you. Stop doomscrolling. Start speaking. Download Latchio and make every unlock count. Latchio Pro Latchio is free to use. Latchio Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription with a free trial that unlocks AI-generated custom courses. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and you can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings.
