About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Find relief from persistent ear ringing with mathematical acoustic engineering. NotchForge is your personalized sound wellness companion designed for tinnitus habituation and distress reduction, running 100% offline for complete progress privacy. Acoustic notched sound method (Notched Noise) is an evidence-based method targeting stable tonal tinnitus. By playing white, pink, brown, or natural noise with the exact frequency of your tinnitus filtered out, NotchForge stimulates healthy surrounding neurons via lateral inhibition to calm the hyperactive area responsible for the ringing. Developed with high-contrast night styling and fluid micro-animations, NotchForge provides a soothing midnight experience that is gentle on your eyes and mind. KEY FEATURES: • Acoustic Notched Sound Tailor the sound treatment to your ears. Swipe the frequency matching slider from 125 Hz up to 20,000 Hz to find your tinnitus pitch, select a noise type, and instantly apply a precise notch filter to block that frequency. • Sound Layer Mixer Create the ultimate relaxing atmosphere. Blend your notched noise treatment (Layer 1) with up to two natural environmental ambiances (Layer 2 & 3) like soft ocean waves, gentle rain, or forest wind. • Double Notch Support Designed for bilateral tinnitus sufferers. Configure both primary and secondary center frequencies to target ringing in both ears simultaneously. • Personal Distress Journal Log your distress level before and after each listening session on a simple 1-to-10 scale. Track your scores over 30 or 90 days to visualize your habituation progress. • PDF Progress Reports Generate clean, structured PDF summaries of your listening statistics, streak history, and discomfort evolution to share directly with your ENT (ORL) specialist or audiologist. • Intelligent Session Timers Fall asleep safely. Set the timer from 5 minutes to 8 hours with an automatic, ultra-smooth volume fade-out at the end of the session to protect your hearing. • Safe Listening Guard Get immediate visual warnings if the volume level exceeds safe limits to ensure you always listen comfortably and protect your ears. 100% OFFLINE-FIRST & PRIVATE Your health data belongs to you. NotchForge requires no registration, uses no third-party analytics, and exchanges zero network traffic. It operates entirely on-device, secured by iOS local sandboxing and encryption. Important Notice: NotchForge is not a progress device. It is a general wellness utility designed to assist with tinnitus relaxation and habituation. Always consult an ENT physician or audiologist to diagnose ear conditions and rule out underlying progress issues.
