RAYGUN Filter Matrix is a multimode resonant filter audio unit with deep LFO modulation — built for dub, psychedelia, and any music that needs movement and character. Load it into Logic Pro, GarageBand, or any AUv3-compatible host and run your audio through three hand-tuned analogue-modelled filter circuits, each with its own harmonic character. Sweep the filter with 13 LFO waveforms, automate it with the built-in envelope follower, dial in tape saturation for warmth, and lock the whole thing to your host's tempo. FILTER SECTION • Three filter models: O-TYPE (SVF style), J-TYPE ( with harmonic softening), M-TYPE (ladder filter style , authentic self-oscillation at max resonance) • Four modes per model: Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass, Notch • 1 to 4 poles (6 dB/oct through 24 dB/oct) • Frequency range: 20 Hz – 16 kHz, logarithmic control • Resonance: 1–100%, logarithmic control — all three models self-oscillate at maximum LFO SECTION • 13 waveforms: SIN, TRI, SAW+, SQR, S&H, plus inverted versions of each, stepped sawtooth (STEP+/STEP-), and per-sample random (RAND) • Rate: 0.01–20 Hz, logarithmic control • Depth: 0–100% — modulates filter frequency up to ±3 octaves • Phase: 0–360° stereo offset for ping-pong effects • Swing: warp the LFO cycle asymmetrically for groove and shuffle • Tempo sync: locks LFO to host BPM with selectable subdivisions from 1/64 to 8 bars, plus TAP tempo for freerunning hosts • Dotted and triplet modifiers DYNAMICS & COLOUR • Envelope follower: tracks input amplitude and routes it to filter frequency modulation, with fast attack (1 ms) and musical release (150 ms) • Tape saturation: analogue-style soft clipping for warmth and body • Input gain: 0–200% (default 115%) • Filter mix: blend between dry and filtered signal • Output gain: 0–100% INTERFACE • Vintage/Clean theme toggle • Oscilloscope display showing real-time output waveform • Preset save/load system • Scalable UI: 1×, 1¼×, 1½× RAYGUN Filter Matrix is an AUv3 Audio Unit Extension — it runs inside Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, AUM, and any other AUv3-compatible host on macOS.
