About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Daily Mandarin — Learn Through Your Lock Screen Mandarin is one of the world's most spoken languages — and one of the hardest to start. Daily Mandarin removes the biggest barrier: finding time. Instead of carving out study sessions, you can learn through your lock screen. Every time you check your phone, you can see a Mandarin character, word, or phrase. No tapping required. No app to open. Just passive, repeated exposure that builds real recognition over time. Daily Mandarin is free to download and includes limited free learning content. Daily Mandarin Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks premium learning features, including lock screen widget-based learning, expanded vocabulary content, and additional daily Mandarin learning tools. How it works With Daily Mandarin Pro, each day you get a fresh set of vocabulary, characters, and tones delivered directly to your lock screen. The more you see them, the more they stick. It's the same principle behind immersion learning, made practical for your daily life. What you'll learn - Simplified Chinese characters - Pinyin pronunciation with tone marks - Common words and everyday phrases - Grammar patterns introduced naturally over time Built for beginners You don't need to know anything about Mandarin to start. Daily Mandarin is designed for complete beginners who want to make progress without overhauling their routine. No pressure, no streaks There are no daily streaks to maintain, no points to lose, no guilt for missing a day. Just consistent, low-effort exposure that compounds over weeks and months. Features marked as Pro or Premium require an active Daily Mandarin Pro subscription (paid). Start building your Mandarin foundation — one lock screen at a time.
