About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Interplanetary Dub Portal is the tape echo you've been searching the galaxy for. Inspired by the warm, woozy delays of the Roland RE-201, WEM Copicat, and Echoplex EP-3, it brings the soul of classic tape echo hardware into your DAW — with the flexibility of a modern AUv3 plugin. Whether you're crafting deep roots reggae, cavernous dub, swirling psychedelia, or experimental soundscapes, Interplanetary Dub Portal puts vintage echo magic at the heart of your signal chain. THREE INDEPENDENT TAPE HEADS Dial in up to three simultaneous playback heads, each with its own delay time, feedback level, and output volume. Layer them for complex rhythmic echoes, or use a single head for classic slapback. The possibilities are deep. REAL TAPE CHARACTER It's not just delay — it's the feeling of tape. Wow & Flutter modulation adds the subtle pitch drift of aging tape machines. The Saturation control pushes the signal into warm, harmonic distortion territory, the way those old units sounded when you really drove them. SPRING REVERB BUILT IN No tape echo setup is complete without reverb. The built-in spring reverb with adjustable decay lets you go from a tight room to a cavernous wash — or combine echo and reverb for that classic dub studio sound. Choose from four routing modes: Echo, Echo+Verb, Verb Only, and Slapback. RHYTHMICALLY INTELLIGENT Lock your echoes to the groove with full BPM sync, a subdivision grid ranging from 1/64 bar to 8 bars, and dotted and triplet modifiers. Global swing/shuffle control breathes rhythmic life into your delays. Tap Tempo keeps you in the pocket when you're working by feel. STEREO WIDTH Ping-pong mode bounces your echoes left and right for wide, immersive stereo effects — perfect for psychedelic textures and spatial dub mixes. VINTAGE CRT OSCILLOSCOPE DISPLAY Watch your signal come alive on the built-in oscilloscope, styled after the glowing green screens of vintage electronics. It's not just eye candy — it's a window into your sound. FLEXIBLE AND DAW-READY - AUv3 compatible — works in Logic Pro, GarageBand, and any AUv3 host - Resizable UI: 1x, 1.25x, or 1.5x to suit your screen - Per-head on/off switches for instant mute and comparison - Full real-time parameter automation - Preset save and recall system to store your favourite echo settings From subtle slap to interplanetary space dub — Interplanetary Dub Portal is your portal there.
