About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

PreBrief is a pilot-grade pre-flight briefing for passengers, built by an active line captain. Tell PreBrief your flight number; it pulls the schedule, aircraft, and route, then builds a personalised checklist that wakes up at the moments that matter — T-7d, T-72h, T-48h, T-24h, T-2h, T-30m. Each card is one short, opinionated instruction from a working captain — what to pack, when to check in, how to plan post-arrival recovery, what changes on a widebody. FREE • One active trip (a trip whose departure is in the future) • Live countdown to your departure, ticking down to the second • Full pilot-curated checklist with time-sensitive notifications at every T-bucket • Three free flight-data lookups via AeroDataBox; after that, add trips from your calendar or by hand — neither uses a lookup • Swipe a trip card left to delete, right to archive once the flight is past • Flight rights eligibility verdicts under EU261, UK261, and US DOT • Schedule-change checking every time you open the app, with the last-checked time always visible • Passport validity checked against your destination's entry rules PREBRIEF PLUS • Unlimited active trips and unlimited AeroDataBox lookups • Destination briefing — currency, plug type, eSIM availability, arrival-day weather via WeatherKit, and passport-aware visa hints • Captain's notes on the specific aircraft and route family you're flying • Time to leave — traffic-aware leave-by alerts via Apple Maps, with a heads-up notification five minutes before you need to go • In-flight companion — phase-by-phase narration from boarding through landing, designed for nervous flyers • Pre-filled compensation emails for EU261, UK261, and US DOT delays and cancellations, citing your booked time, the revised time, and when the change was recorded • Flight Watch — background schedule checking that re-times your whole briefing when the airline moves your flight, and alerts you when it does • Live Activities — on the day you fly, your flight on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: countdown, terminal and gate, and exactly when PreBrief last checked with the airline EVERY TIER • Add a trip from your calendar — PreBrief reads it on your device, fills in the flight for you to check, and tells you its times are your calendar's until it has matched them with the airline • Share a flight as plain text with whoever is meeting you — it says when its times were last checked and when it was sent • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets — your countdown and what's due next, at a glance • Your own checklist items — add what the captain's checklist can't know, reorder and snooze them, and reuse them on your next trip • Time-sensitive alerts so you never miss check-in or boarding • "Mark complete" right from the notification — no app launch needed • Travel documents — passport and visa expiry dates, checked against your destination, with renewal reminders. Dates and countries only; never document numbers • Privacy-first: trips and preferences stay on your device, syncing only via your iCloud • No tracking, no analytics, no ads PreBrief Plus is $4.99/month or $29.99/year. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in your Apple ID settings. Built and curated by an active A350 line captain. The checklist evolves as the operator flies new routes and updates the rules.
