About this app
The developer's US App Store description, in full.
SmartMiles is the automatic mileage tracker for people who drive for work — self-employed professionals, 1099 contractors, realtors, sales reps, and small business owners. It runs in the background and detects every trip. There's no start or stop button. When you finish a drive, the trip is already in your inbox with the route, distance, time, and dollar value at the current IRS rate. CLASSIFICATION Swipe right for Business or left for Personal. Assign custom purposes like Medical, Charity, or Moving. Set it up once and SmartMiles classifies on its own: • Frequent routes — classify the same trip a few times and SmartMiles applies it to future trips on that route. • Work hours — set your schedule and trips during those hours are marked Business automatically. • Named locations — save home, the office, or client addresses and trips to them are recognized on sight. VEHICLES Add as many vehicles as you drive. Set a default, or change vehicles per trip. Pair your phone to your car's Bluetooth and SmartMiles assigns each trip to the right vehicle automatically. REPORTS Monthly and annual summaries show business miles, personal miles, and total deduction value by purpose. Export the full log as CSV — date, route, distance, vehicle, purpose, notes, and deduction value — the fields the IRS requires and the format most accountants ask for. OFFLINE AND BACKGROUND Trips are captured even when the app is closed and even without a signal. Anything captured offline syncs the next time you're connected. NOTES Add free-text notes to any trip — client names, project codes, or anything else you need at tax time. Start free. SmartMiles Pro unlocks unlimited trips.
