Skimify News — App Store rankings

About this app

The developer's US App Store description, in full.

Skimify is the gamified news app that finally feels good to use. Swipe through a fast, full-screen feed of the day's most important stories, politics, world, business, tech, sports, entertainment, and breaking news, each one boiled down to the essentials so you stay informed in minutes, not hours. Swipe, don't scroll forever. One story at a time, full screen, distraction-free. Two feeds: "For You" learns what you actually read; "Latest" is pure chronological. Bite-size summaries with a one-tap jump to the original publisher when you want the full story. Fresh constantly: new headlines arrive throughout the day. MAKE IT A HABIT Earn XP for reading, build daily streaks, and climb 20 levels. Earn coins as you read and redeem them for real rewards. Take on daily challenges and unlock achievements. Play quick news- and AI-literacy games: flag the AI-fabricated claim hidden among real ones in Fact Check, catch the AI's edits as it rewrites a story in real time in The Hallucination, and pick the exact word from look-alike options in the daily Verbatim, a once-a-day puzzle whose five answers reveal a shared sentence the next day. SAVE WHAT MATTERS Save any story to read later, your saved list syncs to your account and is fully searchable. YOURS, YOUR WAY Pick the exact categories and sources you care about in your "Yours" feed. Light and dark themes. Start anonymously, create an account only if you want to sync and keep your progress across devices. Skimify is a gamified news aggregator: we aggregate stories from independent publishers, who remain the source of the full article.
